Common Uses: Thought to be a cure all by the ancient Egyptians, today it is known as an effective astringent. Uses include adding a few drops to a diffuser to freshen the aroma of a home, added to detergent to wash dishes or clean. Keep away from direct sunlight or heat and store in sealed containers. Store in refrigerator to maintain freshness.

History: Lemons was well known in Europe by the middle ages, and the Greeks and Romans were advocates of its therapeutic properties. Lemon essential oil reached the height of its fame when the British began using the citrus fruit to counteract the effects of scurvy.
Cautions: Essential Oil is non-toxic, but may cause skin irritation in some. Lemon is also phototoxic and should be avoided prior to exposure to direct sunlight. Avoid during pregnancy.
