This natural base offers exceptional protection to your lips and is formulated with wax derived from soy beans, luxury oils and exotic butters and does not contain beeswax. It is rich in vitamin E. Our lip Balm Base is manufactured to our exact specification to provide a high quality product that is made from totally natural vegetable ingredients and contains no animal products. It's composition is Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E and Apricot Kernel Oil. It has a very creamy consistency, is not sticky, and is long wearing. Our versatile Lip Balm Base can be used in either a chapstick type tube or a lip balm pot. Just melt it in your double boiler, add a flavor if you desire, and pour it into your lip balm containers. This product will appeal to all your customers including the Vegan community. No preservative is needed.

The lip balm base is made with all natural ingredients and contains a high level of shea butter. In order to achieve a smooth moisturizing product it is important to follow the directions listed below.

1. Place each pot/tin on a tray or cookie sheet on a level surface.
2. Evenly space each pot or tin to cut down on spillage. 
3. Heat required amount for batch of lib balm base to 150F
4. If you are adding flavor oil, add at a rate of 1/2 - 2% by weight
5. Stir to blend flavor oil completely.
6. Fill your lip balm pots or tins with a Pipette until just below the top surface.
7. Place containers (with lids off) in the refrigerator and let them harden completely.

1. Take each tube and advance the mechanism 1 full turn, the reverse it 1/2 turn
2. Bundle your tubes with a rubber band and place them on a tray. This will help when you are moving them to the refrigerator and keep them from falling over 
3. Heat required amount for batch of lib balm base to 150F and add 5% Beeswax.
   Amount of Beeswax to add:
   8oz Lip Balm: 11.25gm Beeswax
   2lbs Lip Balm: 45gm Beeswax
   5lbs Lip Balm: 112.5gm Beeswax
4. If you are adding flavor oil, add at a rate of 1/2 - 2% by weight
5. Stir to blend flavor oil completely
6. Begin filling your lip balm tubes about 2/3 full with a Pipette
7. Place tubes in refrigerator until a skin forms on top and the center begins to sink in.
8. Remove the tubes from the refrigerator and fill the balance of the tube until it is domed on top.
9. Place them back in the refrigerator and let them harden completely.
