A wonderful classic blend of aromatic lavenders.
This magnificent bouquet contains Italian, Bulgarian and French
lavenders. Aroma is floral, herbaceous, fresh, light with balsamic
woody undertones. The most floral scent of all lavenders, but the
therapeutic levels are the lowest. Uses include analgesic,
anticonvulsant, antidepressant, antimicrobial, antirheumatic,
antiseptic, antitoxic, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, fungicide, and
sedative. Has a sedative action on the heart, brings down high
blood pressure, relieves insomnia, muscular spasms and rheumatic pains.
Excellent for relief of pain from sunburn and minor burns and keeps
insects away. One of the safest for use with children and the
elderly. Lavender 40/42 is often the choice for applications in
soaps, candles, perfumes and cosmetics. The reason is that the
40/42 refers to the standardization of both linalool and linalyl acetate
resulting in a very consistent floral scent thus smells the way most
feel lavender should smell. Blends well with most oils, especially
citrus, florals, clove, cedarwood, clary sage, pine, geranium, vetiver
and patchouli. Generally non-toxic. May be irritating to
skin and eyes.
